First visit to the 1320 with the Abarth. Cordova in Illinois. Got in a handful of runs this afternoon and it was pretty consistent. Was hoping it’d go a bit quicker though, and I’m not happy at all with my 60ft’s, which is part of the problem. Car was in full street trim with stock 16″ wheels & tires.
Best time of the day was 14.651 @ 94.56mph and 14.717 @ 95.17 had the highest mph. Full slip and relevant mod list below.
Relevant mods when these runs were made
- K&N cone filter intake
- ATM front mount intercooler
- Uni-Chip Stage 2
- MPx axle-back exhaust
- MPx bored throttlebody
- MPx lightened underdrive crank pulley
- Neuspeed lowering springs
Big day… rolled over 10k. Happened while cruising through Ledges State Park. Well, trying to cruise through anyway. Most of the roads are currently closed due to flooding.
Drove out to Indy to photograph the Chiefs vs Colts playoff game. Didn’t count on getting stuck there for a few extra days…
In the parking lot, after already being cleaned off at least once. Still coming down.
On the way home. Roads still beyond terrible
I’ve owned Cavaliers since 1997. That’s my high school days! I still own two of them today. My 1992 Z24 was purchased in ’98 and my 1994 Z24 acquired in ’03. I used to run the biggest site on the net for the 2nd gen Cavaliers, v6z24.com, until selling the site in recent years.
I’ve continued to organize a yearly “bash” for members of the site together. This is the 11th annual event, and the first year that I’ll be attending sans-Cavalier. Unfortunately neither of my J-Body beasts were up for making the trip this year. Scandalous, I know.
Here’s the little Abarth nestled in amongst some bigger little cars.
With some Cavs
3 whole feet shorter than a Cavalier
Still the same width as a Cav
The Abarth’s first road trip comes the next day. It’s a Kansas City Chiefs are at home this Sunday, and I’m a photographer for all their games. Looks like rain today.
Forgot to take a photo of the ODO right after purchase. This is about 60 miles later
